I began skating with the Bemidji Figure Skating Club when I was eight years old. After moving into the advanced program, I began competing and testing. From age 11 to 18 I attended training camps at Shattuck St. Mary’s where I had the opportunity to work with and mentor under renowned Olympic and World coaches and choreographers year after year including; Phillip Mills, Rohene Ward, Kori Ade, Paul Wylie, Jimmy Santee, and many more.
After many years of competing and testing I became a U.S. Figure Skating quadruple gold medalist in Freestyle, Partner Ice Dance, Moves in the Field, and Solo Free Dance. I competed at many local and regional competitions and won a Minnesota State Championship.
I began mentoring Learn to Skate at age 15 and coaching Learn to Skate at age 16. When I turned 18, I completed 30 hours of mentorship with a variety of coaches and choreographers and started coaching private lessons. After graduating high school, I moved to the Rocky Mountains of Colorado and coached figure skating to a wide range of ages and skill levels. In 2018, I moved back to Minnesota and became more involved with the Bemidji Figure Skating Club coaching private lessons and eventually becoming the Learn to Skate and Junior Advanced Program Director as well as the Ice Show Director for our annual show.
I enjoy working with skaters of all ages and levels and focus on creating a fun yet challenging environment for skaters to progress, grow, and express their creativity on the ice.
